Customers value the Media Remote for its ease of use, affordability, and functionality. They appreciate the convenience of controlling their Xbox without the need for a controller, especially for streaming shows. However, some users have expressed concerns about the remote's line-of-sight requirement and the need for direct pointing, as well as its build quality and use of infrared technology.

works really well, and the quality is great. be warned that you have to connect something similar to a cable box or a Roku etc in order to control the volume. it won't work on the media apps like Netflix, Hulu, etc. other than that the remote works great you can use it to navigate menus( in Netflix, Hulu, etc.) just not change the actual volume.

Its a great controller for any Xbox. From the One to the X. It uses batteries, kinda wished it had rechargeable ones. But its fine. Only caveat is that it doesn’t work on all tvs in terms of turning it on and off. So something to keep in mind.

Styled like an AppleTV remote minus the metal. The look on the buttons is very generic so if that matters to you maybe look at the PDP model. Otherwise, it worked right out of the box and the Xbox guide me through programming the remote to work with my TV.

Remote does what it's supposed too.. Feel extremely cheap for a $15 remote with IR Sensor.... However, it does the job.

Has to be pointed directly at the Xbox, with nothing in between/blocking for it to work. Also I cannot get the volume button to work.

Most of the buttons were not compatible with my Console.
The remote felt on the cheaper side.
Hopefully, Microsoft will release its own version of a remote in the future.

THIS CONTROLER SUCKS!!! The signal strength is not good meaning unless youre aiming directly at your xbox it wont register any buttons. Sucks too because i cant find any other controller at bestbuy. If i didnt get this with a gift card id just return it but oh well. Hope this helps someone fro making the same mistake i did

Works great as an Xbox remote, but the volume buttons do nothing and I couldn’t figure out a way for them to work. If I still have to juggle two remotes, I’ll deal with the game controller and tv remote. Returned this.

It gets the job done, but the buttons are not very responsive. It’s also very picky as far as what direction you need to point in order for your inputs to register. It works, but it is definitely a finicky remote.

Does work but you need to be at least 4 to 5 feet close to your xbox or it wont work you need to point to your xbox in order to work and if something or someone is blocking your xbox it wont work. I just give up on it and start using the original controller.

My Xbox series x is hidden behind my furniture, and since this remote uses IR, it does not reach.
