I can't say how long it lasts because I plug my controller in to charge after I finish and it never ran out of power even after a 10+ hour binge session.

Turns out it works great and charges off the micro USB connection on the controller (just had to dig out a micro USB cable). Which is perfect - no need to replace a perfectly good controller, and no more running through AA batteries to use it wirelessly.
