Well I was going to give 5 stars but today thanksgiving it started leaking and no not from the drain plug it looks like the coil inside has a tiny leak in it. I purchased this in February of 2021 so it’s just under a year old and I also purchased a 2 year warranty with it. No I do not use this machine all the time so it can’t be a wear and tear issue. Returning this ASAP. Hope no one else experiences this problem .

I have hashimotos disease. It’s an autoimmune disease that directly attacks your thyroid. Did you know that ingesting mold can affect your thyroid and cause anemia? So my question is for Best Buy , How did you sell an OPEN BOX-EXCELLENT CONDITION item with mold in it? For weeks i have ingested mold thanks to an item that was suppose to be original parts or suitable replacements. Not used! Not pre owned! The first day i got it i ran the water and assumed the dirt or debris indicated in the manual of the ice machine! I took a video where you can see little black specs and ran it til it ran clear! I thought it was good to go! Low and behold weeks later i notice at the bottom while cleaning it out the black specs again. PURE CURIOSITY that maybe the hose still has dirt in it and i took off the back. The video of the coated water tube is what i found today. I am absolutely disgusted and completely confused how you can be so negligent in labeling “open box items” properly. I don’t believe a “suitable replacement” hose would have mold in it. This item was not indicated as used at all. It was open box not pre owned. Which if the customer who returned it did not use it than that’s worse meaning as your employee tested the item to ensure it worked that they did not properly dry the item prior to boxing it back up.

Hated making ice cubes constantly so picked this one up. Overall decent. Only complaint is, can be very loud. My bedroom is about 15ft away and even with the door closed it seems like I can constantly hear it running. The front got dented some how fairly easy I’m certain.

This little machine puts out the ice. Got it for my wife’s birthday and she loves it.

Excellent unit for an excellent price! This little ice maker pops out cubes at a fast rate. You can choose between small and large sized cubes however it’s not a substantial difference. It’s a great product that gets the job done!

This makes ice cubes pretty quick. You have 2 size choices.

It does a nice job filling in for the small ice maker that is in my fridge.

Best investment ever, I store in ziplock bags to share with friends and family! Girlfriend loves the “free” ice haha!

Had this a couple years now and very happy with it. I do use the gallons of purified water in it but that’s just my taste preference. Tap water works just fine though but I believe it will stay cleaner with filtered or bottled water.

I bought this in July of 2023 for almost $100 after tax. I used almost everyday while working from home. Unfortunately, 23 months later small pieces of black mildew started to come out. Based on the shape of the mildew, it looked like it came off from inside a water tube. If someone not checking the bottom of the water reservoir or pay attention to the ice you scoop, you might not know you are drinking mildew.

Love it I purchased another ice maker for my daughter for Christmas.

This machine is great we use it daily for small party

This ice machine has been consistent and reliable for a year – but just after the one-year mark, the inside top right side of the machine started to drip a black residue. I cleaned the whole machine out and after a few hours it starts again. And it keeps happening. It’s impossible to see where residue is coming from but it’s apparently some type of metallic residue dripping from an area where I assume a compromised/exposed screw or something is, because it’s dripping through the hole on the back side of the inside corner where it holds the plastic ledge that ushers the ice out from the top and into the basket. The machine is not fixable because you can’t take it apart to reach that area, so it’s essentially broken.

I really love it no more going to the store buying bags of ice and I’m enjoying the mint color. Thank you appreciate it.

Does exactly what it says it’s going to do. You must move ice out of the way of the sensor, or it will show full when it actually is not. Not a big deal though.

It’s ok. It makes ice & doesn’t take too terribly long to fill up the small basket that holds it. But, it’s been only 8 or 9 months since buying it and the little arm that pushes the ice up to the front of the machine has came unhinged on one side, not allowing it to fully push the freshly made ice forward. My other issue w this machine is if it’s getting low on water I’ve found that the ice it makes taste identical to literal dirt. It’s horrendous. But other than that it’s good…
