It makes five smallish ice cubes at a time that deposits into a basket. It takes 2 to 2.5 hours to fill the basket. Our ice maker on the fridge is broken and couldn’t get replacement parts so we opted to go this route. We chill 3 bottles of water and puts in every morning to start it. We found it works quicker if the water is already cold.

Thoroughly cleaned the unit before use, and allowed two cycles to run before using the ice. It may take a cycle or two for the unit to "warm up" to make the ice cubes their intended size, but so far I'm very satisfied with the product. I wish the unit itself would keep the ice cool so I have time to move it to the freezer before it starts melting, as I'll forget to listen for the cycle to finish. But other than that, no complaints.
