I bought the ice maker after making multiple trips to the grocery store and each time forgetting to get a bag of ice. This small appliance fixes that issue. I can have a basket of ice in 30 minutes or less! Several of my friends that have seen it work are planning on getting one. It does take up some counter space, but I believe it is a balanced trade off for the benefits you receive from this.
