I bought this insignia portable ice maker for my husband he love it, it make very cute bullets shape ice in two size it work perfect and make 8 pieces of ice every 5min. I would recommend it to any one who is looking for a small counter top icemaker.

Once you have one on your counter it becomes a must have. My last one lasted about a year, we will see if insignia is any better, had bad luck with there TV's but though for the price of 49 bucks (red only) I'd give ema shot. So far so good.

Great product. Easy use. Not too big in size so as to not take up much counter space. Very convenient to have in home.

Setup just plug in & within a few minutes its made several ice cubes right away!

Works great for being a compact machine. In our home we go through a lot of ice. This machine makes the ice pretty quickly. The only downside is the ice melts too fast. I use the larger cubes but it still occurs. I do like that this machine fits on the counter, makes ice quickly, and does the job its supposed to.

I have been making ice every other day for myself and my daughter's family. They like to make smoothies. It has 2 sizes and the small ice fits into drinks and water bottles with ease. It is easy to operate and will let you know if you need to add water or if the ice tray is full. The instructions say it takes about 6 to 8 minutes to make ice and this is true for this machine. Just be sure you empty the water after unplugging before you put it away. It looks great sitting on the counter also.

Works great and makes a lot of ice quickly. One drawback is the ice tends to settle at the top blocking the laser eye sensor. The ice maker stops making ice when the basketbis only half full.

My husband wanted this for thanksgiving and when friends come over. I wasn’t sold but I am now. It is awesome. It makes ice In 7 minutes! No running out or taking up room in the freezer with a giant ice bag. This thing is not big and also doubles As a ice bucket! They have Cool Colors as well . My only complaint is it little loud at first you but you get use to it. Great conversational piece. Friends and family thought it was cool.

This icemaker is replacement #3. Apparently, even if you are careful and clean them often, they last almost a year. I only use filtered water. The other two Frigidaire so I'm giving Insignia a try. I could install an icemaker in my Freezer, but the logistics of my clunky kitchen make that impossible. I've five starred this one because so far, it's adequate for the job. It makes ice fast, large and small, and I can keep the ice bucket full on a daily basis. One can't ask for more.

Operates nice and quiet. Nice and compact for an RV. Ice cubes are great and long lasting. Just bag it up and stick it in the freezer!

Very nice little ice maker. My freezer ice maker quit and this one will fill up that bin in one day. No, it doesn't keep the ice frozen...it's an ice maker, not a freezer. One thing that is disappointing is that it doesn't have an audible signal for when the ice is full, or it needs water. If someone in my family was blind, I would have had to get a different brand that has sound as well as lights. It is smaller and lighter than I expected, which is nice too.

I bought this little machine because the ice maker on my fridge stopped working and even thought it hadn’t been long that I bought I really like it. Super easy to use. Let’s see how long it lasts. I did get a 2 year protection on it just in case. But it definitely works great. It makes 2 different sizes of ice and witching 10 minutes you have ice ! I put mine in a small bag and place them in the freezer to use for later and when I take them out there just as great. Definitely recommend !

Recieved a defective one that roared loudly while making ice (white model), and Best Buy’s customer service worked wonders in making sure we were taken care of! We went in for an exchange, but the white model was completely sold out and out of stock in-store and online, so they exchanged it for the more expensive (silver) model without hesitation for us! We were pleased to just have a working machine, but in awe by their willingness to make sure we did not leave the store without one. Thank you, Best Buy! You guys are awesome! The machine works perfectly with a peaceful hum to let you know it is creating the perfect cubes you desire, small or large! The machine also knows when to stop, wether by a full ice trey or a low water level, while also letting you know. The machine is awesome! The machine and BB’s customer service get the job done!

If you like soft ice, this countertop unit is great! I had an Opal Nugget ice maker for three years, and it was great, but finally gave out on me. Nugget ice is great, but this ice from Insignia ice maker is actually softer and more easily chewed that the ice from the Opal ever was, and it literally cost one fifth as much as the Opal! This ice maker is super easy to clean, and extremely fast at making ice. It seems like it's a little bit less than ten minutes between batches of ice. For now I am absolutely loving it!

For the money, the Insignia 26-Lb. Portable Ice Maker with Auto Shut-Off makes quite a lot of ice in a short period of time. Our Samsung refrigerator's ice maker is a known bad piece of - uhm - engineering, and plastic ice trays are a pain. We could have spent a lot more for a few extra features, but there is not a problem with making ice as long as you stay attentive. The unit is not a freezer, and when a round of 9 ice cubes dump, they fall into a basket where they will melt if left too long. The water reservoir is sufficient for several rounds of ice. The ice is shaped liked tiny Asian teacups. One day of running (and emptying after 4-5 rounds) will fill our large ice container in the freezer. Have an ice pick handy, because the melting ice refreezes once stored away in the freezer forming large lumps of tumbled tiny teacups. The bottom drain plug is a good feature. Auto shut-off for full ice basket or low water level are also good features.

Small but makes ice quickly and is quiet. Perfect for a small kitchen or an apartment or dorm room. If you need ice, this is a great machine.
