Works great but hard to clean.

We used it daily and it worked like a dream. Until we had to clean it. There's no way you can get into the tiny crevices to clean it well. Then part of the lid inside (that flips the ice out) broke. Instead of replacing it, we went with another option (manual ice trays). It requires cleaning too frequently (as mold can build up quickly with regular/frequent use) and is so difficult to do so, even with purchasing special equipment. It just wasn't worth it for our needs.

The unit does not keep them cold so transfer to the freezer or use right away is necessary. Once the unit gets going the ice freezes harder and the ice seems to be made more quickly.
