If you teast the wired, maybe you need to clean you ice maker with detergent or a solution of five parts water to one part white vinegar.

It makes ice, but does not keep the compartment the ice is in cool, so it melts pretty quickly. Have to store the ice in the freezer afterwards. It is fast at making ice though.
