But the auto shut-off when the ice bin is full seems to fail a lot. To the point where it overflows and breaks the scooper function. Causing it to malfunction is other ways like not making ice at times. Followed all instructions on trouble shooting the faulty sensor like removing out of direct sunlight but still malfunctions. Be wary of this cause I am currently getting the run around about the warranty of this item through insignia.

You have to bag the ice and put it in the freezer and then bang the bag on the counter to break it up because the machine doesn’t actually keep the ice frozen.
