Works as intended just wish the ice cubes were a little bigger.

The ice maker looks so pretty but the issue is the water that sits in the basket while waiting for the ice to fill up the basket. Some ice are melting.

Good for the price. Only problem is if you use this alot. It tends to stop making the ice thick. Starts to be thin ice shells. Other than that decent if you use for occasions or once in awhile

Had an ice maker prior to this that I liked much better unfortunately the company doesn’t make them anymore. The ice cubes for this machine seem small even on the large setting, the bin fills pretty quickly so it needs to be emptied frequently.

You get your first bacth in 10min...great so far!!!

Not what i was expecting. Only fills small tray and have to empty each time. Ice melts and sticks together so you have to be on top of putting the ice away.

You get what you pay for. Should've been a little cheaper considering its around 40 bucks cheaper at other stores.

Love it for my house. I was looking for it for awhile.

It works great, but in less than 8 months a small plastic piece broke from the mechanism that scoops the ice out. So now, it still makes ice but does not move the ice to the basket rendering it mostly useless now.

At first it was a good machine but i started running it daily and noticed some type of orange film forming where the ice was dropping into the basket and also started noticing that film where the metal is that creates the ice. Something like a bacteria was clearly forming even after I cleaned the machine frequently with bleach. I eventually threw the machine away after maybe 6 months.

9 month review here. The machine worked great for the first 6 months. At that time the ice full sensor must've stopped working. So the arm that brings the ice out gets jammed. It comes off weekly and it takes at least 30 min to get back on. This last time I couldn't get it back on so I am looking for another brand unfortunately. My last ice machine lasted 4 years with constant use.

Easy to use and makes ice quickly. How ever it failed to cool the water after less than a month.

Bought this for a light duty off grid application (Solar/Battery/Inverter). The product label states 2.1 amp power draw (but it's more like 8.7 + amps on startup). Worked like a champ till day 19 when the machine wouldn't stop making ice and got all jammed up. Cleared the ice jam, but it happened 3 more times at various times during the next day/night before unplugging for good. So, who doesn't offer a 30 day return policy these days? Well, evidently that'd be Best Buy (15 days only). Returned to the store was able to get a store credit (woo-woo!), for something else that'll have a 15 day return policy.

Disappointing: 1. The "add water" light never worked 2. It died after one year Ice itself was good - no problems with that.

love having a ice maker since don't have a refrigerator one. although I am disappointed in the size of the ice cubes. even the large cubes are really small. the ice cubes are also wet and clump together too easy

It’s an average ice maker. This one doesn’t have an automatic clean cycle and it’s more work to clean than the last one.

Major flaw: after about 10 days, the 'ice full' control fails overflowing the machine. If left unchecked, it could damage the automatic ice lifter. Turning off, unplugging, and cleaning the two sensors seems to fix, but can take mutiple attempts. If not watchi g this thing, it could damage itself making it useless. After the third time this happened, I found out i was just beyond my return period. Not fond of Insignia or best buy for that reason. Get another brand.

If you just need a few servings at a time its perfect. Ice melts quick if you dont use it right away.
