    Can't get it to make ice.

    I did one sample to make ice. I discarded as the instructions stated. When I tried to make ice after that, the light that says "Needs Water" stays on no matter how much or little water I put in the icemaker. Therefore, I have not been able to make ice, and Have been to ill to return to the store. Patricia Ross

    Electrical fire. I had this unit for roughly 3 months and it works perfectly, then one morning I noticed it making a really loud sound. It had run dry, but had not automatically shut itself off per usual… I could smell electrical burning, and had unplugged it before it started to emit smoke.

    I would like to give this no stars. I was so excited to get this and did not produce not a single piece of ice. We read though the directions five times and tried ten times to make ice.

    Stopped working on day 18

    This stopped working on day 18 for no reason. I took it back and Best Buy said I was over the 15 days. They gave me a gift card to buy a new one. I am going to try it one more time but watch how many days you have it.

    Broke right after 1 year of use!

    Been using this ice maker for about 14 months and now it shut off on me all the sudden. Welp too bad the manufacturer warranty is only 1 year. Now i have to throw it away because i cant fix it

    This was bought as a gift for my daughter. It had great reviews however it’s extremely loud I think it’s damaged we will be returning it

    Ice melt pretty fast since they are hollow. Need to be whole.

    Worked fine for a couple weeks. Then it stopped producing ice consistently. Would have to power cycle it several times before it would work. Returned it.

    Sucks as bad as BB customer service

    Shoukd be zero stars. Worked exactly one time and then smelled really weird and the smell made me nauseous. Put it right outside. Tried emailing best buy about it. No response so now its too late to return.

    Made ice when it wanted to, not whe. I turned it on. I could hear it making ice at like 3am but would not make any during the day when it was needed...returned that sucker

    About a year later it died on me. First it started off with mild growing in the waterline. Then the ice reservoir started turning orange. No matter how often I cleaned it. Then the motor died. Was great for the year

    Have had two of these over the past few years This one the ice flap that empties the tray fell out after about a month won't be buying another one/\.

    Bought this less than 2 months ago and it stopped making ice. Good thing I went back a week after purchase and bought the warranty. This is my second on. First one from another store lasted 6 weeks.

    Very disappointed in this ice maker's longevity. Purchased two and ended up returning one as defective. The other one has started leaking from the back and it is not even 6 months old. I expect more from any brand, but especially Insignia. Poor quality - don't waste your time or money.
