This product works great!. It is easy to set up and provides solid ice. I brought for my mom and she loves it.

Excellent purchase. Great for parties or when your ice maker in refrigerator quits and your waiting on the repairman. Enjoy. Works fast, 7 cubes in 6 minutes. What's not to love!!

We bought this exact unit from Best Buy about 11 months ago, and here are some important things to know. The plastic basket inside the machine has flimsy handles that will easily break if you repeatedly lift it out when the basket is full of ice. We do not have ours connected to any type of water line, we just add as it needs refilling. It’s a bit awkward to have to always touch the basket and scoop with bare hands, so I would recommend thoroughly washing your hands and the scoop before and after each use. If you have a large family with kids like we do, it’s important to stress hand washing to them to prevent any type of sediment getting into the bottom of the reservoir. About 2 months ago we noticed that the screws on the inside of the unit were starting to rust, enough to where rust was visible and bleeding down into the rest of the machine. This hasn’t affected the taste, but is alarming to know that they don’t use stainless steel parts for something that constantly has to endure moisture and temperature change. Just recently the machine will make ice, but it’s hit or miss as to whether or not it will complete the dumping process. Sometimes it works just fine and dumps the ice as it should. Other times it will make the ice and drop it in the little compartment where the arm scoops down to push it out, but then it just sits there without dumping or starting a new cycle. I’ve found that turning the machine off and then back on helps to temporarily get it started again, but I’ve been having to do this 10-12 times a day to keep it functioning, so this unit may be on its way out. With all that said, this machine has been used all day, every day for almost a year. Everyone in my family loves this machine, so as soon as a batch is made, it’s gone. It has been worth the money in relation to how often it’s used, but I’m sad that it seems to be breaking at just shy of a year. I’ve loved having this ice maker. It’s spoiled me, and I never want to be without one, but for our next unit I think we will spend a little more to get one with more durable parts.

Got this for my son for his college dorm and he loves it! Says it makes ice really quick. It’s pretty quiet but kinda loud when the ice drops. Great purchase!

I like the size of the ice cubes, and also the size of the container where it drops the ice once is done. However, if the ice covers the sensor to make more ice (which is all the time) it does not make any more ice. I have to be moving the ice out of the way in order to make more. But I like the machine. It's vey simple to use.

I've only used it a few times but really like it. Some people complained or had questions about the ice melting in the basket since it's technically not freezing in the compartment, and then having the ice clump together once it's in the freezer. If you're using the ice basically when you make it, this simply won't be an issue, because any melting water will just drip back into the water compartment, and then the ice will be going into your drink. If you're making ice ahead (which is what I have done), my suggestion for this would be to make ice while you're doing other things around the house, so that when the ice is done every few minutes, you can pop it straight into your freezer. Then when the next batch is done, first stir the ice already in the freezer to break up what little clumping might have happened, and then drop the new batch in. If you wait until the whole ice-maker basket is full, and then dump it into the freezer, it might stick together in a big clump. If you do it this other way, only a few cubes might stick together at any time, and it's super-simple to break any apart.

Quiet & dependable while making ice. Simple to use.

This is my second countertop ice maker, and I plan on treating this one better than the first one. First, instead of using filtered tap water, I have been using distilled water. The ice cubes are virtually clear, and the reservoir is staying clean and clear without any scale build up like I had with the first one. Drawback is the full sensor doesn't shut off maker, and over fills with ice. It is faster to make large cubes than small ones for some reason, which is a good thing. I plan to chill the water in the fridge before filling and see what the results will be. I doubt it can make 26 lbs. of ice in 24 hours.

This was a good ice maker. A little noisy when making ice though. It made ice cubes pretty quick. I was cleaning it out about a year ago and noticed black stuff. I pulled out The screen part at the bottom and there was a bunch of black mold. And mold on the metal part that molded the ice cubes. So I'm pretty sure for a bit I was eating molded ice cubes. After scrubbing multiple times with bleach and vinegar, I put water in to run a few ice cycles. I sight use it for a few and plugged it in, now it's not working at all. The light comes in and does nothing.

This machine is incredible, make ice so fast and it is to easy to use

I bought this because the ice machine in my refrigerator has quit working. Assume she will fill up it’s been in about 30 minutes when I come home I turn it on and I have ice to put in my cup in about 15 or 20 minutes. I turn it off at the end of the evening before going to bed fresh ice every day I love it. Exactly what I needed. Extremely happy with my purchase.

If I could give this 6 stars I would. Bought my girlfriend one for valentines day because she loves to munch on ice. She loves it! Runs it sun up to bedtime. Keeps up with her addiction with no problems. After 2 months of constant use it is working perfectly. Ice melts faster than traditional freezer ice, but she loves it that way. Perfect little machine!
