Was a bad decision. I was trying to save $$$ as I buy a lot of bagged ice for my various ailments. It is more of a boat anchor than ice maker.

Not worth it!!

Both ice machines, ice scraping thing that moves the ice to the basket broke. The first ice machine I didn't have a warranty and it lasted a little over a year. The second ice machine lasted almost 2 years with the warranty. Insignia said they don't cover that part. When you purchase a plan warranty read what it doesn't cover. I cleaned and used the proper water correctly whit this product. I give this no stars. But had to give 1 star to post my comment.

The ice taste like crap

I have tried everything to get the gross taste of the new merchandise out but nothing works. We have tried to use both filtered water and tap water and neither work. I feel like I got a lemon!!

It makes batch of ice then the fill water light stays on even when its full water. It does not make ice anymore. It really is not a good ice machine. Honestly with these machines the more expensive is the way to go. Because if your buying an ice machine its for comfort and hassle free use. This was a pain and a bummer.

It got delivered to the house with a broken lid, tried to use it anyway and the water pump had the same issue as my first one but worse. Sitting in the garage boxed up, trying to decide if it’s even worth my time to return it again.

Stop working after a year.

The unit stopped working after a year. I brought a self cleaning unit that requires a little monthly maintenance but nothing like this unit.

Says not to let the basket fill up but????? Lol literally it melts before 20 tiny ice cubes are made. Also, it takes 15 minutes to make 9 ice cubes! Took 5 hours to fill 2 sandwich bags. Seriously would never recommend this.
