    Needed to convert Wii game unit composite cables to HDMI “Game” port on my Sony DH590 Receiver. Signal synced up between Wii to DH590 and Sony Bravia OLED soon after switching to “Game” port. Powered from Receiver’s own USB power port. This powers the converter unit only when “Game” is selected.

    Be sure to buy the right converter. I was sold 2 HDMI to RCA, but nothing worked. I called Insignia and was told the converter only goes one way. Once I bought the RCA to HDMI, it worked great! The salesman at Best Buy told me I had 50-50 chance of it working, but you have 0 chance if you buy the wrong converter.
