When I went in I was not sure how to connect a VCR(yes they are still around) to my Smart TV. This did the trick. The sales person was very informative and not judge mental on why my family still had a VCR.

No other passive adapter worked. Wish I had known that before I bought the tv. Does a good job.

Hooked this up and I was playing games. Sometimes the audio doesn't come through. Reset the power to it will get it going again. I put an inline AC switch for a quick fix.
