It upscales the 480i picture you get from standard composite. It takes it own power that sucks. But overall it upscales really good and no scan lines like a component to HDMI converter I have.

This converter will make your old RCA devices work on the HDMI inputs. HDMI cable not included.

That where this little guy comes in. VCR to converter HDMI to TV (Converter needs 120vac)
