we were slow to switch our collection and wanted our new 4k OLED to play the old VHS tapes. Make sure you get the correct cord, but other than that, I was thoroughly impressed with the quick and easy set up and great quality of my old favorites.

Works great for converting a WII to a flatscreen with only hdmi plug ins

The powered Insignia RCA to HDMI Converter does exactly what it’s designed to do: convert analog to digital. We used this handy device to watch old 8mm Sony tapes on a smart TV from an old Sony camcorder! This was a true holiday highlight and worked flawlessly! Just be sure to plug in the power cord that comes with the converter or you won’t get a picture on the TV…..WAY TO GO BEST BUY!!

Overall the product is good. There are moments that the visual feed is lost but you simply have to flip the switch back and forth or let it catch the signal again on its own. (When this occurs, which is far and few, its very quick.) Works great for the older game system or connection. (tried it on nes, snes, n64, playstation and playstation 2 and all worked well.)

I purchased the insignia RCA to HDMI converter. It connects the old style RCA connections to HDMI smart tv. It is a little overpriced. But I got it from best buy because they have returns in store, if defective. I have not had a chance to try it yet, But other reviews say it works well. It's a simple device.Just plug & play. so that's easy. so I can save my older devices & use them again.

Clear picture from a VCR, no interruptions in signal with particularly old tapes like I’ve gotten from cheaper ones

This was purchased as an Open Box item for my old Panasonic VCR. It was easy to set up with my own cables. It is connected to an hdmi switch with other items as my soundbar only has 3 inputs. I played a couple of VHS tapes both purchased and one I had recorded. The picture was as I would expect given the age of the tapes. There's some graininess given the media vs the quality of the Oled TV. As far as the sound,it was pretty good and had no lag. Overall, I'm pleased that I can still watch my tapes, especially the recorded ones of our family.

How to get me one of these cause I got a Wii and man these things were so cool. It really was able to get my old TV able to use my Wii. Never thought I would be able to use this.

Our family decided to play Wii (RCA connection) over Thanksgiving. The problem was out new TV does not have RCA input. So, this was the solution. So glad that we have a BestBuy close enough to drive to and pick up tech needs! If I can find what I need I'll purchase locally, every time, because online is convenient until it isn't, and you need something NOW. Easy to follow instructions. Unboxed and had set up in less than 5 minutes. Enjoyed some great old school gaming and we'll enjoy more over the holiday season.

This product was necessary for viewing VHS tapes. It helped determine which ones were going to be converted to DVD and/or another media. It was very simple to use. The picture quality was great.
