Cons: It does need to be plugged into an outlet, and I haven’t gone side by side with other options to tell if the price point was justified ($40 was steep but I was committed to the project and that’s what Best Buy had). But again, it did its job well and I’m happy with it.

Paired with a HDMI to USB adaptor, this lets me view those old home movies on my computer and record a digital copy to archive. It works just as advertised!
