Tried it with a PS2 and a Wii, both with RCA outputs known to work. Tried 2 differed HDMI cables known to work. Tried 2 TV's with HDMI inputs known to work. No combination of RCA cables, HDMI cables or TV's would work. (not even a hint of picture or sound) Sincerely wish it had worked because I'm tired of having to switch RCA cables every time I play a different system.

Ended up finding a Wii to hdmi plug that works great. This device simply didn't convert it to color.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm using this to connect an RCA selector (has four yellow/white/red inputs to two outputs) to my TV via HDMI. It works, but every five or ten minutes, the screen just goes black for 10 to 30 seconds, and my television cannot detect an input. Now, I have a long signal chain; my Nintendo Entertainment System, to the RCA selector, to this converter, to an HDMI selector, to the television, so it COULD be somewhere else in the chain. However, this is the only particular item I've had a problem with using any of those devices. So, I'm not very happy, and I'm just using it until I figure out a remedy because it's better than nothing.

The picture quality is too dark and very pixelated compared to how it suppose to look. It does what it suppose to do. That's all.

A mini-USB power plug was provided but the device itself requires a round 5v plug. Can’t even use it out of the box and for $50.

As you mentioned the device should come included with the necessary AC power supply where one end should go to the DC jack and the other the the outlet.
