Our old cord only had a 2 prong receptacle but geek squad reccomended this and it makes the sound so much better!

Had some kids over for outdoor fun by connecting our Wii to our projector - turned our garage door and our driveway into a game space. Just Dance! and Wii Sports Resort for everyone! Nintendo sells a branded adapter that connects directly to the Wii - no need for that. This device solves the issue and is generic for use with any other devices that have the same type of RCA cable.
