It was easy to connect but you need to be sure to have/order the correct connection cable for your units since that is not included with the converter.

Whats the problem

The tv works fine on its own and the dvd player worked fine before we had to do this because of the new tv. Don't really want to watch the dvds now.

We still use our VCR for old VHS tapes and DVDs, plus my wife likes to tape her "Young and Restless" soap every day. The new TV didn't have an RCA analog input port, so this Insignia converter was much appreciated.

Also, even though it is set for 1080P, the zoom setting on the tv needs to be fiddled with sometimes.

I had read an assortment of reviews on this type of product. I am pleased to say the installation was easy and it connected well to our SmartTV with the proper wires. The results were very good and I was able to begin enjoying our old movies and tv shows. The salesman told us if we had an problems it was always returnable - that's what is great about Best Buy.
