The converter was super easy to hook up, especially for a guy who's incredibly clumsy with his hands. From the get-go, it has worked flawlessly.

Best Buy's Geek Squad rep recommended what electronics we needed to purchase to connect an older DVD to our newly purchased Best Buy flat screen tv. Just plugged it in and it worked like a charm. Newer TVs don’t have the old 3 plug-in spots to connect older models of VCR/DVD players. I am using a model that transfers VCR tapes to DVDs and this plugin adapter made the job seamless.

My new TV did not have inputs for my VCR so I purchased the converter. It was easily hooked up and works flawlessly. I get a very good picture and good sound too. We are very pleased with this purchase.

I was trying to get my old VCR to play on my new 4K tv, and it wouldn't work. I went to Best Buy with my problem and they recommended this product to help me. Took it home and tried it and now I can see my VCR tapes on my 4K tv.

Managed to set up easily to connect to my grandpa's old dvd player to new sony tv. Make sure to sure to pick up a hdmi cable if you dont have a spare one, one isnt included inside box.

It does what it says that it does - converts RCA inputs to HDMI to plyg into a modern TV without native RCA inputs. I've tested it with several old game systems, including the Gamecube and N64, as well as a VCR, and the converter converted the signal perfectly without washing colors or making the picture unnecessarily dark like some other converters I had previously tried from Amazon. For any content that was originally made for the 4:3 aspect ratio, I suggest setting your TV to 4:3 to get the most accurate display as to what the content was meant to look like. Nevertheless, your content will look great with this converter and it is highly recommended!

I chose this because I wanted a converter that works. There is a major online retailer that sells converters for less, from manufacturers with unpronounceable names, and have suspicious reviews. I have had several Insignia products and have had good luck with them. So, I spent a couple of bucks more and was not disappointed. The converter works well. I have not had any problems with noise or distortion. Now I can watch standard definition sources on my smart TV, and the TV will upscale the lower resolution source.

Does the job. However, trying to go to the 1080 setting from a vcr does not work. At least I can get a picture.

Converts RCA cables and inputs to HDMI for modern TV'S. Now I can hook up old consoles to my new TV when I feel like playing some classic games.
