It doesn’t go away. I had it on for 3 days and smell didn’t change. I ordered these filters before and they didn’t have this smell! It’s really awful I’m returning them

Insignia makes good stuff but this wasn’t one in my experience. Replace filter light stayed on despite changing it and it didn’t seem to be a large enough unit for my space.

filter indicator.

Filter life varies based on run time and existing air condition you live. If you think your room or outdoor air condition is not very bad, you can reset the filter indicator to continue use the old filter.

One filter lasts a few months. Super easy to exchange filters in the filter, just take out the old and replace with the new. You can do it in under a minute.

I just got an email less than 2 days ago informing me the filter was in stock and surprise surprise it is sold out just like it was whenever I have checked (which is multiple times). Either take the air purifer off the market until there are enough filters in stock or manufacture a filter that lasts longer. 2000 hours isnt even 3 months. Blueair makes a purifier about the same size and their filters are rated for at least 6 months. And yes I wiped down my existing filter (outside thank goodness because there was a lot of dust) but I have noticed it doesnt take care of the odors as well as when it was new.

Now they are SIXTY DOLLARS? The entire air purifier itself was only $99 when I bought it! This is ridiculous and I will be switching as soon as I can. Sad that a perfectly capable machine I've had for upwards of 3 years will now be junked because replacement filters are unaffordable.
