The cover comes with "hinges" that are stickers to allow you to line up the protector before taking off the film to stick. This makes for no smudges. I was able to put it on with no bubbles. It required almost no pressure to connect. I did make an error originally because I didn't realize there were notches on one side for the cover and had to remove the hinge stickers and realign it. The instructions lack that, but otherwise great.
