Good for the environment; not so good for cooking

Electricity is much healthier for the environment and all concerned. Unfortunately, this product does NOT provide the same level of control while cooking as I have with my propane cooktop. There are 8 energy settings. If what you're cooking does not conform to one of those 8 settings, you're out of luck. It's great for boiling water, simmering soups, and high heat frying. It's not great for any kind of cooking where you need to be able to increase and or reduce the amount of heat quickly. I don't know if an induction cooktop product exists that can do what I would like... but this one does not.
