Customers are saying
Customers admire the Single-Zone Induction Cooktop's fast heating speed and ease of use, frequently praising its convenient size and affordability. However, some users note compatibility issues with certain cookware and find the fan to be somewhat noisy during operation. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and ease of cleaning outweighs the reported drawbacks.

Heats up cookware fast
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far has worked well and consistently and have used several times a week. Heats up very fast even on low setting. A little on the smaller side, only heats up 10” pans or smaller. Increments seem too large for temps, ex. Can only adjust temps by 40 degrees at a time.

NOT FOR CAST IRON SEARING! :(
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this product to stay away from gas cooking. I have my 8" cast iron skillet and I saw good reviews with cast iron, but upon multiple tries with SO many different types of cooking/foods over the last 6 months... I'm about to give up. Only thing it performs correctly is water boiling. No food can I get the right type of cooking on but specifically I cannot get the right sear on steaks, as the heat zone is only about 4" wide, and that BURNS the seasoning(cast iron) so fast, even on setting 5. Then once you add the food, it stays hot for a bit, and then the heat is turned down automatically?? By the time the steak is done to medium rare, the outside is grey and only charred in certain places when it first hit the pan, when I can get perfect steak with this cast iron on any other cooking device(fire, electric, gas stove or induction cooktops on a bigger range). Is there anything I can do to trouble shoot this?

Nice Cooktop.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This unit replaces an old 1400 watt unit that still works. We like the Insignia's 1800 watts of power, which allows for quicker boiling etc. Unit is simple and very quiet. If you find it on sale its a real bargain.

Exceeded my expectations!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really don’t know how induction cooktop works. But when I try it, it works even more powerful than my kitchen’s electric stove. It is also energy efficient. I don’t see any better way to make my tea. However, this device may not work on some kitchen appliances, I don’t rly know why.

Super fast, but not very consistent or even heat
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Heats pans almost instantaneously. However, the heat doesn't seem very consistent or even. I am going to try with a cast iron skillet for more even cooking. But I got it on sale, so I can't really complain for a $35 induction cook top.

Good Induction Cooktop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A really great product but I wish there was more control over the temperature settings. The unit looks great and cooks great, but the differences in preset temps are too far apart.

Good Cooktop, but noisy
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good Cooktop, but it's pretty noisy. When I have it turned on, my dog would run away from the kitchen due to the high pitch noise.

RETURNED IT
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We liked it but returned it because our pots and pans are not magnetizable, they are stainless steel and so the induction won't work. I would recommend it to anyone who has metal pots and pans that will work.

Great 1800W Induction
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sale price of $35 made this a no-brainer. 1800W is what you want out of your single induction set. Included magnet is a real easy tool for new induction users to check their pots/pans for induction!

Portable Stove
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a stand-along cooktop, it works as described. It has a flat surface, just like my range, even though its footprint is larger than expected based on those pictures.

Induction Cooktop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This unit is not as versatile as the advertising would lead you to believe. It will not work on any non induction cookware and the current draw it more than expected when one was used.
