It has an automatic shutoff timer of 3 hours, which makes is pretty useless for long term cooking/overnight cooking for things like stocks/broths, soup and stews. Temperature controls are fairly weak with too much variance in actual temps and too much of a gap between the preset values.

I had to return this item. I do not have the correct type of cookware for induction cooktop. Otherwise, I thought it would be nice to have an extra burner in the kitchen.

There is not much power in the temperature and if you are going to need a higher temperature this will not be a good purchase.

This cook top does all it claims, but the temp setting are a wide range and you have to have a magnetic pan (which is a nice feature for safety) which means no teflon or non-stick pans.

I have a full size Bosch induction cooktop which I love. I thought this would be comparable. I bought this to use to boil water to cook pasta because the ge gas range I have at our vacation home takes forever. This was even slower. I timed how long it took to boil a large pan of water. 21 minutes on this, 16 min on gas. Back it goes.

the temperature control is very sensitive and sometimes it just turns off by itself. Not good if youre trying to cook anything!

This is a nice hot late and works well I had some difficulty getting it working at first but then I was able to figure it out

This product will not work. The error code it gives is not in the book. I bought one, and then bought a second, thinking that the first one was just a DOA machine. Nope. Insignia WILL NOT help you. I am at a family reunion, with over 100 people expecting to be fed. I called Best buy begging for SOMEONE to tell me what this code is. No one will. This product fails within 2-3 uses.

I purchased on March 15. I was able to use it once, then I put back it the box for my next shabu-shabu. When I tried it yesterday, the Induction does not work. It simply wouldn't turn on with stainless steel pan, Stainless wok, cast iron pan and carbon work. Waste of money.

It has good quality and looks good .. but if you have pot that’s can magmatic then forget it it wont work

Took it back. The one I had was nicer and more settings. Was gonna get this on sale for my camper.

It works but isn’t as powerful as induction cooktop. Water takes many minutes to boil.

Not great. OK. Doesn't hold the power level/temperature level consistently.

Decent but my last induction plate was much easier to use.

Great for hotpots. Tho it takes a while to heat up but no problem with that at all

The element does not heat out to the edges shown. As a consequence the heat is concentrated in the middle of the pot/pan, and it's hard to get an effective browning

It doesn’t work. I brought it for my tenant and they let me know that this electrical stove is broken. Another words it doesn’t work. It has been more then 15 days and BestBuy will not take it back. Such a waste of money!

It works as expected. I use it when we make hotpot at home.

Worked good but i guess most my stuff aint dont work.

We had an induction cooktop for 14 years,used with all of our cookware-and even though there were cautions with this new cooktop(prior to purchase)We thought otherwise. It was unfortunate that we had no magnetic cookware to go with it.
