Didn't have particularly high expectations for this inexpensive soundbar, but I have found that it produces very nice sound quality and can yield high volume without bad distortion. I am using it without a subwoofer and the bass is quite good (there is a Bass-Boosting preset option that works well). I struggled a bit finding a place for it (I wish the Insignia televisions had some kind of pre-engineered mount location for it if you aren't attaching your whole setup to a wall) but I put the feet of the flatscreen up on small blocks and that allows the soundbar to fit underneath the television between the legs (my TV doesn't have a central support foot but rather two separate leg-like stands on either end). Also, some reviews say you can't control the sound with your tv remote, but you can if you attach the soundbar using the "headphone" audio output (not all TV's have them but many do). This auxiliary output is a standard 1/8 inch plug like any headphone jack and there is a 1/8 inch input for the soundbar. Using that setup, I could set the sound on the soundbar to a pretty high level and then use the TV remote to control the output sound level. If I had to use the separate remote for sound I would be pretty unhappy.

Sound quality was unremarkable and after a short time stopped working completely and had to be returned. Buyer beware.

was very upset my wife made me buy this one instead of the vizio. She didn't want me spending $250 or more. But dang was I surprised with the quality of this speaker for the price! It is perfect for my living room! Made the biggest difference. Wife saw the smile on my face while blasting Sunday football. Ugh she made me apologize for being rude to her at best buy. :/ . Yes I recommend it. And I recommend you listen to your wives!

The sound quality was terrible, never managed to get it to work with my tv even after changing cables and trying the suggested connection methods.

I bought this sound bar yesterday for $69, so bummed it went back to $99 because I was going to buy at least 1 more. Sound is very impressive for this price point. Bluetooth hooked up immediately to my iphone. Very easy to use. Good bass sound even though the bar is thin and light. 3 sound profiles. Has subwoofer out, which is superior to Vizio sound bar which does not. Hooked up an old Yamaha subwoofer and the sound is pretty great. Highly recommended, even at $99.

This was a terrible buy, the tv volume itself was better quality than this soundbar. Save your money to buy a better brand.

Pro's Very good for the price. Very easy to get up and running right out of the box. Fairly easy to read and know the settings on the device. Descent sound for the small size and cost not boom box but good for small TV more then anything. More then one way to hook into the TV the Analog cables come with the sound bar. I bought the Light Cable (separate) to hook into and I could tell a difference in how it sounds. I did not find any real Cons.

I had to return 2x bcuz only one speaker was working...both times...big disappointment. Not the bargain it appears to be.

I have had good experience with Insignia products and this one is no different. The sound bar has a very nice appearance and was easy to set up. Make sure to use a Digital Optical cable when connecting to the TV for best results. The sound is very clear and the bass feature is a plus. The only con is that the volume doesn't go as high as I thought it would, but it is an improvement to the standard TV speakers and has plenty of volume for standard viewing and improves overall sound quality. You may have to spend a little time tweaking the settings in your TV's audio menu to get it set just right and its worth taking the time to do so. The biggest plus was the price I got it for on the Pre-Black Friday sale.

I normally like insignia products, but this wasn't the best! If you want good sound spend a little more!

I bought an open-box version of this on a whim because I was tired of the tinny sound on my 60" LED TV. This little soundbar is great for watching movies and sports in our basement and surprised me, given that I picked it up for $40. I wish the lights were on the front instead of the top, where they are difficult to see from the sofa. And in a perfect world I could control it with my Dish remote, but I can't really fault the sound bar for that. I haven't tried streaming music to it from my phone yet, but I'm sure that will sound good as well. Bottom line, the sound is great, it was a great deal, and I use it every day.

I bought this soundbar for my mother and she can't stop talking about it. The sound is very nice and it also has a little sub on the bottom of it. I installed it on the wall which was very easy since it came with a template. I used the included audio wires and that was it. Everything except screws to mount it on the wall was in the box. Very happy with it especially for the price.

Great Customer service took it back and replaced it with a new one I'm selling the new one

You can't synchronize the sound to the TV. There is a bad echo this product is not very good!!!

Disappointing sound quality, even at the $59 sale price. Wanted to like it, but it went back.

This sound bar provides a good rich sound. Sound quality is much better than the Samsung HDTV. I like that sound bar will play songs from my smartphone over bluetooth. This is an excellent value for the money.

Adequate soundbar for price and sound quality. Will improve sound quality over TV speakers and recommended for a bedroom or smaller room. Also recommended that you purchase/connect the bar with a Dig. Optical cable for easy setup and best sound quality. Remote is small and simple, though the bar can be programmed into your DirecTV remote. Bass is noticeable but not heavy. The only neutral comment I have is that it will not power down after inactivity or power on when the TV powers on. Some more expensive bars will do so when connected with Dig. Optical.

really easy to install/setup. sounds a lot better then the stock spkrs on the tv itself. sound quality is not "amazing" but it dose the job in a small room. I sit 5 ft from my tv so sounds good to me.

This sound bar sucks! The sound was horrible...you get what you pay for.
