It was not, I could not connect, and I missed an important job-related events because I could not connect. It required a disk player which I did not have on the laptop. I had no way to connect the Insignia item. 2) I had to pay the Best Buy Geeks $39.99 to do the connection on their computer. It was badly done. Again, I could not connect and missed important work-related events. I had to come again to your store. Your Geeks person finally fixed it. This was a terrible experience

II'VE TRIED TROUBLE SHOOTING IT WITH NO RESULTS. THE INTERESTING THING IS THA IT HAS A MANUFACTURER LIMITED WARRANTY OF 1 YEAR. THIS ADAPTER IS ON THE TOP OF THE PRICE LISTS SO i WAS HOPING IT WOULD LAST MUCH LONGER, NOT BREAK DOWN ON ME RIGHT AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRATION DATE. I'M NOW LOOKING FOR A REPLACEMENT AND DON'T THINK I'LL GO WITH INSIGNIA THIS AGAIN.

It took several hours of research and finally email contact with Insignia's support to find out that Insignia's Mac driver support is way behind the times. In the end, I exchanged for the same device from j5create, whose Mac support is exemplary. My low rating is for the misrepresentation of Mac compatibility at the time of purchase...

Not compatible with my MacBook

Little did I know the 2014 and easier models (I have a 2014) arent compatible with the display so youll just get a black screen on your tv. So now I have no use for this and I'm out $60 because I obviously had no idea that my 4 year old computer can't support the display. So F#%$ me I guess.
