Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked great for adding a third monitor to my laptop (now have two 24'monitors plus the laptop monitor) -- easy to follow instructions were included in the package, popped in the cd, installed the driver, restarted the computer -- hooked up the monitor and turned it on, and voila!! Monitor works GREAT -- am typing this review using it!! I am totally impressed with this adapter -- don't cheap out and buy a cheapo one elsewhere, like I did the first time, it won't work and isn't worth the aggravation and possible damage to your computer -- this adapter worked great and is totally worth the price!!

I also am operating on Catalina 10.15.13. With the new OS upgrade, the security was enhanced, and there are a few extra steps that need to be completed before the adapter will work. This may costs more, but it literally takes less than 2 minutes to install and the build quality is way better than the cheaply made product that you can get on Amazaon. Perfect for those who are trying to setup a Dual Monitor Work Space during "The new normal!"

While it projects presentations from a tablet/laptop, it doesn't do well when you have to play a dvd. It could be the computer equipment, but we have tried multiple computers and it lags.
