SA has a diamond shape and the wider oval of these didn't work. Luckily the hotel also supported UK outlet types.

The only vice is there are two outlets on the device and after a day one simply would not work. I purchased 2 of these units over the course of a couple weeks andbhad the same issue with both. I can't complain since I was able to keep everything charged while in Africa but it did take twice the time since only half the unit worked. That is the reason it only it received 3 stars. Otherwise it likely would have recived 5. I would recommend it if it was a bit less on the wallet! Then again, maybe I got the 2 tempermental units in a thousand :p

Good Travel Adapter and Converter
