My first flat screen tv was a 32" and so I bought a 32" stand, which I had to assemble. I wanted a larger tv but did not want a larger stand which I also would have to assemble. This stand solved my problem. Thanks to the salesman at Best Buy. Only regret, I DIDN'T BUYY A LARGER TV.
