They lasted about the length of our 1st movie. Then the LOUD "pop" noises started. The base unit was about 10' from the remote speaker unit. I finally put them away. A week ago I pulled them back out to try again and now I have no sound at all. I checked the inputs and all is good. I tried to "pair" the units with each other again also. No luck. These have been on clearance since we both them over a year ago. I took a chance, but really have not been able to make them work. I'm going to try to use the speakers for something else.

Crap don't buy

Never even got them to work. Could be user error but I'm a smart guy, if it's my fault it's too hard so doesn't change my opinion.

Then they only lasted a couple of months before they started getting what sounded like static or feedback. This happened to both sets that I purchased, one for the living room and one for my bedroom. I couldn't ever figure out the issue so they're currently not even connected. Would like to have rear speakers but I'll probably look at spending a bit more next time.

I totally understand where the confusion might be coming from. The Wireless comes from the fact that you have a Transmitter and a Receiver so you don't need to install a long cable all the way to the back of your couch. The speakers themselves do use wires to connect to the receiver.
