    The adapter came with a disc for software download, but my new laptop does not have a disc insert. Company helped and showed me an acceptable driver, but not the one that goes with this one...anyway I never could get it to work and will be returning.

    When my Ethernet card burned out (lightning) I bought this dongle to replace it. It works great and I didn't have to unplug my computer, open it up, replace any cards, etc. I simply plugged it into a USB port and it's been smooth sailing since.
