    My wireless has the tendency of dropping connecting and my laptop doesn't have the Ethernet slot to plug the Internet cord in. This adaptor is perfect and work without any hassle. Definitely an item I would recommend.

    I have a 2015 MacBook Air. This adapter requires you download software. After I downloaded the software, I could not make this adapter work. In addition, the toolbar at the top of my computer became unusable. I force quit, rebooted and everything seemed to work fine. I called Insignia for help & while they were pleasant, they were unable to help me un-install the software; I also spoke to Apple & they were also unable to help me un-install. Save time and get a Apple brand adapter.
