Works great as a Ethernet adapter, but isn’t compatible with consoles and only computers

No issues with this item worked flawlessly. There are more expensive products out there that do the same thing. This is very compact and stows great in my brief case for travel.

The Ethernet adaptor allowed me to keep using my 'old' modem with my new computer which did not have the Ethernet connection. What a relief to have my old modem connect to my new computer.

This only works with USB 2.0 and does not have built in driver, cd-rom included is useless on new laptop which does not have cd-rom drive

I loved this with my pc but when I switched to a Mac I discovered that this doesn’t work. I really need it for my job and I need to figure out something else... left me in a pinch...

With the macbooks no longer having several different ports to make it more lightweight, this is a great thing to have if you regularly plug in to ethernet cords.

My computer has a network card that is not removable and had gone out. Other stores said that I needed a new computer but this fixed my problem. No issues at all.

Although the packaging for this states that it will work for Mac it in fact does not. When i got home i plugged in the adapter and nothing happened. It came with a CD to download the software. I do not have a CD drive on my macbook so i went to the website and downloaded the software and followed the directions. After two attempts i decided to call the support for insignia. The first tech i got told me that it should have automatically downloaded and should have worked. He then proceeded to tell me that i am able to return the product if i needed to since it did not seem to be working. I then decided to call back to get another tech rep. The second rep proceed to inform me that this product is not compatible with my updated software that i have on my macbook even though the box states that this is for MAC. Needless to say i will be returning this product and will not be purchasing any other insignia products in the future since i feel i can not trust their packaging and specifications listed on their products.

I purchased a brand new MacBook air and had issues with this device. Make sure you test and try the adapter in the store before you take it home, sometimes they don’t always work.

I thought I'd need this for my laptop that has no ethernet port so I bought it. Now I have found another solution so it sits in it's box. I will keep it just in case there is a reason for me to use it.

Insignia Ethernet Cable adaptor worked good for about 3 months and broke down and started to have technical issues.

Purchased for my Nintendo Switch. Did not work due to being 2.0. Does work on other devices. Good for general usage only.

Very convenient! Had to buy this last minute to troubleshoot cable company's issue and my laptop did not have an ether net port. Time saver for sure!

Item does not work with Nintendo Switch. It works fine on my laptop fine, just don't buy it for your Switch console.

I wouldn't expect a simple adapter like this to cost $20 but it's compact and doesn't require any additional drivers for Windows 10.
