Not very jaw dropping. It's a cable for one thing to another.

Had some problems with the adapter, it stopped working and needed to be replaced , otherwise, it works great and Best Buy customer service was great to deal with, no hassles. This is why we purchase from Best Buy, they want to make sure you are happy with your purchase.

The USB broke within the first two weeks. Waste of $20+

Returned it because it took up one of my 2 USB ports.

This USB adapter never worked. Even after spending well over an hour on 2 phone calls. Insignia support had no idea how to help and the only site to download new drivers belongs to another company entirely and their download didn't work. Don't waste your time.

At 1st my internet connection speed was noticeably faster & more consistent than with the ethernet port in the computer, but in just a few days the device quit working.

I bought this to plug Ethernet into my Mac book air. It did not recognize the device, no matter what I did. Probably works with windows but horrible for Mac users.

Right out the box this device just worked. It didn't require any additional drives or software installs. I was able to get true 1G connect via USB with no errors or drops on the "network card". Great product I would recommend to anyone.

this product is fine, however for my particular laptop, it doesn't work because you have to install software and i don't have a that option with this newer laptop, therefore i couldn't even use this item

Geek Squad recommended this as a fix on my laptop,. When connected however,it did not work.The GS member is not to be blamed, however, as everyone involved thought it would be supported on Windows.

Does not work with current OS; am told it works with others. Do research before buying - not compatible with all current Macs.

When you purchase the slim laptops being made today you'll find the mfgrs. have no room for an ethernet connection. This adapter makes it possible to set up a wireless network in the home when using such a computer.

Was going out of the country for a few weeks and realized my somewhat new notebook computer did not have an Ethernet port (who knew they stopped putting them on computers) so purchased this adapter. Tried to use it at hotel I was staying at as "free" internet in every room wasn't wireless, but needed to be plugged into computer via Ethernet cable. Turned out the installation for this adapter was only good for Windows 8, Vista or earlier versions so very outdated. Returned it as soon as I was stateside again. Worthless unless you still live in 2007!

Had a client whos nic card was damaged from lighting and this little baby saved us from having to replace the whole motherboard. Plugged it in Windows from the drivers and we were back up and running in minutes

Because of ONE work program that I run, I am required to be hard-wired to the internet even on a laptop. My new Ultrabook does not have an ethernet port, so this was a GREAT solution and installation took just seconds.

Seems like I may have gotten a faulty one because it didn't function at all. Maybe it was coincidence that all the ones I've seen before and used have worked...except the one I purchased.

Worthless if you don’t have internet when you need it. It does not come with drivers pre loaded. I’m sure other options were smart enough to do that.

Simple, my main board nick died and needed a replacement, this is doing well and there is no need to spend for a card as this meets all my needs and its portable. Meaning I can use it on the go for other devices.

Not the greatest of third party adapters, but it is cheaper than the Apple-branded merch and serves its purpose. The cat-5 cable port can get a little finicky.
