My MacBook does not have an Ethernet cable and I needed to program a new modem therefore I needed this piece. It does the job very well and picks up great speed directly from the modem. The price is too high IMO. This would be great at around $10.

works great, my first time with a laptop and wanted to connect to internet with cable, and also use wifi so works great either way for what i need.

Did not work with Nintendo switch (was supposed to be plug and play). Returned and purchased a different brand. Worked with a computer though.

It works. Is necessary in places where the wifi is not available or too risky to use, or when someone does not know how to configure the wifi.

I originally bought this as an adapter for my Nintendo Switch. While it doesn't work for that, it does work wonderfully for my macbook pro. The driver can be installed online, so the disk isn't a MUST-HAVE.

The adapter worked immediately when plugged in. No problems with installation or use. This is the way a plug in adapter should work!

Cannot really rate this. I had gotten this when I moved Into a computer without Ethernet. The staff had no idea what to suggest. I’m this did not work for my purposes.

In this wireless world where you no longer seem to need a network cable, the rare moment I needed one, I picked this up and it did the job with Macbook Pro. Not much else to say.

Works great for when my Ethernet port on my mobo went out on me. Slight issue with cycling disconnects, but it was only a stopgap. Eventually got around to flushing my bios and now mobo is fully operational again.

At times I'd prefer to plug in for faster connection but my laptop doesn't have an ethernet port, this is great and affordable.

I bought this for my laptop that doesn't have a network port and it has issues connecting to some wi-fi. It works well enough as I used it for a VPN connection to work and had it connected for 8 hours at a time. Most of my work is done with an RDP to a remote system, but I also run some local apps that references data on network drives. Really no issue there. Although the network cable was still a little loose even though it "clicked" into the jack, the overall quality is good enough and it does the job. I did get some brief disconnects but nothing out of the ordinary compared to my regular wi-fi connection when that works.

Insignia products are top notch. This adapter works perfectly for professional and home needs, and the price is very reasonable.

Bought this after upgrading from an old laptop and needed this cable to go online as I don't have wi fi. The cable works great.
