I was in the Southern Pacific. Wi-fi was poor. New before going and bought cable connector for hard wiring my laptop to the internet. What a life saver.

Simple and very necessary. Increased my MBPS speeds by 100%! Don't go wireless unless you have to. Wired is the answer!

Got this for my wife to increase her internet connection speed as she was working over wifi. Plug and plug and her co. Action is much better. Worked as advertised.

Easy to connect a laptop to ethernet using this device. Important if you need to have a wired connection for a business meeting.

Note that some devices may require you to install the software, but other than that. It does what it says. You may be able to find some cheaper options out there, but the speed output may vary. I give it a thumbs up.

I bought this item to avoid installing a new Ethernet card in my Windows 7 PC. I thought it would be a quick fix for my situation.e Even though the PC did recognize the device, it would not let me communicate through it. I called in an IT guy to look at it and he told me for some reason my PC can't establish an internet connection with it I the only solution would be to install a new Ethernet card. If it had worked for me I would have rated it as a five (and I'm sure it would work on most PCs) , but since I could not use it I rated it as a 3.

At times I’m Connecting to different devices with different static IP schemes. This works like a charm so I don’t have to change IP settings back & forth.

The wireless card in my computer quit functioning. Replacing the card was going to be expensive and this little gem was an inexpensive work around

This works as you advertised. I needed an ethernet port to a MacBook Pro that just had thunderbold and usb inputs, and this solved the issue.
