I have never seen an ethernet adapter with a disk to download the drivers. I would give if another shot if the need arises because it felt quality for the minimal price. And (based purely on assumption) I would think it may have a better functionality being that it required it's own specific drivers to function.

Posted .Hello, I am sorry to read that the unit did not worked for your Nintendo. However, this unit is a plug and play (When connected to the internet) for Windows 8, 8.1, 10. Meaning that the CD is not required to be used.
