The Ethernet card in my computer was damaged by lightning. This Ethernet adapter was a. quick and inexpensive fix in that all I had to do was plug the Ethernet cable into one end of the adapter and the other in any USB port.

Plug into USB on Dell Chromebook, other to Cat5e immediate Ethernet 250 Mbps. We wanted Ethernet over WiFi on VPN. Works Great! However, on other platforms - reports say issues with Mac & Windows 10 So Beware!

I need one for my surface series. it works great. Not always need hard wire for laptops, but some time it needed. I need to download speed faster than Wi-Fi and plug this in surface. I could use full Fios speed with hard wire.

I bought this for my son, who gets wired Internet access in his college dorm. WiFi is notoriously slow at university campuses due to the density of students and all the streaming video being sent, so wired is the way to go.

It works as it should. Also a must have accessory if your laptop does not have an ethernet port. Helpful for when wi-fi isn't available or when wi-fi is down/acting up and you need to access the modem's web user interface.

My WiFi adapter from my laptop was not working and I needed to connect it with the Ethernet cable and this adapter helped me because my laptop only has USB ports and not Ethernet.

Rather disapointed to find my new fancy laptop does not have am Ethernet connection! Not good when trying to diagnose a wifi problem. It is PnP and worked right out of the package.
