since majority of the newer laptop do not have the ethernet port, this is a great adapter. No issues for installing the drivers for the device and easy connectivity.

I use only these Insignia adapters for connecting Surfaces to wireless radios, access control, servers, and camera systems. These do not suddenly stopped working like the cheaper devices always seem to.

I bought this with the idea that I need more than 1 ethernet port on any machine and it works with an older machine with Windows Server 2012 r2 running. So far so good.

I was apprehensive at 1st because my laptop has Windows 10. I had problems on some of my Windows 10 computers with other plug & play items (external HD, DVD drives, etc). I plugged the adapter in and it automatically installed the driver without having to use the accompanied driver CD. It has worked really well with no problems. My son used it on his Windows 7 laptop with the same great results.

This USB NIC was installed in a Mac Pro and worked as soon as I plugged it it. Device was recognized without issue. I just then needed to set the IP Address manually for the server.

To get the guys at work that use MacBooks networked I had to pick up one of these adapters. Works great and much cheaper than the "name brand" one that cost 3 times as much and does exactly the same thing.

I was looking for an adapter for the Ethernet cable as the new HP laptop I bought fro Best Buy didn’t have a plug as my old one did. BB had exactly what I needed at a very reasonable price.

I use these for all laptops/tablets that do not have Ethernet built-in, especially when WiFi is spotty...or as a replacement in a desktop computer when its Ethernet card/port goes out.

This device came in real handy. Used the network port on PC for internet. Plugged this device in the USB port so that my IP camera switch could plug directly into PC. Worked great, no problems at all!

Perfect for Ethernet connection on my son's HP 2 in 1 laptop. Since the HP is so thin it does not have an Ethernet port and the adaptor will allow him a direct connect in his dorm when needed.
