    My on-board ethernet decided to fail so I had to act fast. Went with the USB 2.0 adapter because wireless to a desktop is too slow. This adapter is just as fast as the motherboard connection. It is low profile and easy to install. The price was a little high, but needed it right away so well worth it.

    I bought this at first as more of an experiment to see if I could squeeze a bit more speed out of my fiber optic internet service via Ethernet connection vs. wireless. Seems to do the job, as I'm getting about 3-4 Mbps vs. Wi-Fi. Will keep this plugged in as long my laptop needs to be sitting on my desk.
