    So I purchased this because my laptop does not have an RJ45 connector. Works amazingly better than connecting to WiFi.

    I need to have my computer hooked up to a phone line. The phone cable, installed years ago runs across the ceiling and walls and down to my system. The end cap that plugs into my system was cracked and I didn't want to go thru taking cable down, re-painting moldings, and installing a new cable, so this is a nice fix for the phone line. I can keep it in a safe place where the phone line shouldn't come un-plugged.
