This adapter was my second choice. I purchased the usb-c hub. It doesn’t fit flush against my MacBook Pro with the case so I had to go with this product.

Good price but will spend more in future to not have something that overheats then has ports stop working, even if only temporarily.

Video works great but charge/recharging phone could be better. Samsung phone used, unknown on other devices

It's an adapter it works. I would not pay full price for this item. Even the open box item was still too expensive. I ended up returning it and buying elsewhere.

The old adage you get what you pay for is true here. Bought the $60 version and tried to connect more than one thing to it and it locks up my computer. Help Desk was of minimal help when they recommended to restart the computer. It did work, however, I need to do this every time I unplug and take my computer to a meeting and then return to my office and have to restart. Taking it back

I was hoping to save a few bucks by buying this aftermarket adapter, but after using it, it doesn't work with my MacBook. I ended up returning it and buying the OEM.

I bought this expensive piece of hardware for my computer but it's a phone device and only works with certain phones.

This adaptor plugs into the my MacBook easily, but the ports on the other end of the device seem too small for their peripheral cords. For example, one must apply a TON of pressure to get the HDMI cord firmly into the the port. At first, I did not want to do this because I did not want to damage the cord the port. The result? My HDMI cord slipped out repeatedly and had major difficulty staying connected throughout my session.

Picture isn’t always filling the screen correctly for some reason and picture quality isn’t the greatest. The apple hdmi connector works better.

It’s a good cheap option for connecting USB Flash Drives since most computers are not including this feature in the equipments.

I got this to use when traveling with my Nintendo switch, but this is not compatible. I ended up returning it a couple days later.

I purchased this item for my M1 Air thinking it would be a capable adapter for my external monitor and for when I need a usb-c to regular usb-a port available. Maybe I just got a lemon but my adapter doesn't work well at all. The audio on my external monitor is very glitchy, it'll work fine for a few seconds and seemingly out of nowhere it will stutter and make white noise sounds. When I plug in a usb into the usb port it makes crackling noises, leading me to believe there is something wrong going on inside, very weird. I will be returning this one and getting a different one.

the connection is loose which really bothers me given the amount I paid for it. I can’t afford to get another one so I had to totally change my presentations which required massive amounts of work and time I didn’t have. Really...I can’t dissuade people from this product with enough emphasis. Don’t waste your money

This adapter will only work after restarting the MacBook Pro. If the MacBook is powered on and you connect this adapter it will not display video. Forcing you to restart the Mac in order for it to boot. this was very annoying because it forced me to restart my Mac every time it took it off my desk. The official Apple adapter works as it should, no Mac restart required.

Good product, like all similar products it seems over priced for what it does. I got it on sale for almost half price so not terrible.

It does allow you to connect to a monitor, but it does not charge your equipment as it should. The battery runs down.

Probably good for the type of phone it works for..and i need to return it to store but covid19 can't b

Only negative is that my external cd drive is not readable with usb connection, tried everything and still doesn’t connect...

Simple and perfect for what I was looking for. Have an HP monitor plugged in and a USB for my wireless mouse and keyboard.

It works occasionally. I'm a teacher and I constantly connect the computer to the TV at school. And it works VERY occasionally. It's a good fit to the macbook, but it doesn't connect every time. As I bought it while in the US, and I live in Brazil, I can't just return it. Money down the drain!
