Tried it on several USB-C style laptops and Macs and it did not work after those initial 2 weeks. I am hoping it was just a bad unit.

The USB-C dongle broke off inside my brand new Mac book Pro 15” needless to say I wasn’t happy! Returned it and went with the hyperdrive it’s 100$ but much more durable and matches your MacBook. It’s a docking station not a dongle. Don’t waste your money on this inferior product.

It seemed very promising and it does actually work for 30 seconds to a minute but then the display suddenly stops working for no apparent reason. You Sent Me an Infant Onsie

I ordered a multiport computer adapter and received a package with an infant onsie in it. With safety being a priority these days, someone was thoughtful enough to attach a lithium battery warning sticker on the outside of the package. Either the onsie was supposed to be battery operated or there has been a huge upswing in the theft of shipped infant clothing and this was meant to throw the criminals off the scent. I can only hope that the family with the newborn was in the process of setting up the child's multi-media suite when my package arrived. Imagine their joy when the adapter to complete the connections arrived and they were able to show their still naked child.
