The audio only played on my MacBook and not my TV... I was annoyed by it but just let it be. Now, 3 months after minimal use, it stops working completely! Don't waste your money with this adapter

It is a major disappointment because it cannot maintain a constant source of current from the charger to the tab (continually drops power every 2-3 seconds). Shame. I own several other Insignia adapters that have worked flawlessly.

I currently have my iPhone X connected to the adapter which is connected to my Macbook Air but my phone keeps reconnecting over and over. iTunes doesn't even show my phone. The system preferences show my phone in the USB but nothing else.

I tried this one instead. On the insignia brand adapter you cannot have the HDMI port in use and also use a little thumb drive. The two holes are too close together. Cannot recommend this product.

It worked for a month or so and then stopped working or would only work when i rebooted my Mac and stop working after it went to sleep. Seems you can only use the official Apple cable. Had the same issue with the Insignia VGA cable.
