    I purchased this adapter to connect an external ViewSonic monitor to my new MacBook Pro but it worked for about a week (with extreme color degradation) and now when I plug it in it won't connect. Looks and feels cheaply made.

    Had to return the one I bought because devices (hard drive and thumb drives) would not stay connected/mounted. Paid a few more dollars for j5 Create’s version and have had no problems.

    I bought this and returned it the next day. The build quality was terrible and I knew this thing was going to break within the month and I'd end up purchasing an Apple one eventually. Don't waste your time with Insignia products, go Belkin or Apple for your dongles.

    This adapter stopped working within a week of purchase. Unfortunately, I am based overseas (I purchased it the day before leaving the U.S.) and I have no option to return it and am having problems connecting my new laptop to monitors, etc.

    Losing connection with whatever I plugged into this multi-port adapter. iPhone charger "dinging" on and off as the connection is made and then lost every 5 seconds. And this for $40+ dollars!

    It’s not worth the money. The type-C plug-in part to the Mac became lose and shorted out shortly after I purchased the product making connections to other devices impossible. I had to go out and purchase a different USB type-c device.

    Complete waste of money. Would not buy another product from the company It’s bad you must select at lest one star. For a non-functioning product you should be able to not give a single star

    WORST PRODUCT EVER. The store I was going to was out of the apple version of this product I managed to get the last of the apple addaptors in the store and then had to get this one to suffice despite the review I read stating that it was garbage I figured I would still try it... I got it home and it worked great... that was for about a day... at first the screen did a little flicker then it would go black and I would have to unplug the monitor then plug it back in this would fix it for about a day.... fast forward another few days of this and now it just doesnt work at all..... Biggest waist of time and should have just waited for the apple connector.... DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU LIKE TO HAVE YOUR TIME WASTED.

    it was for an lg g6 to duplicate netflix onto a tv monitor, i asked best buy if it would work prior to purchasing it. they confirmed it would, got it home and it didnt work. come to find out lg stopped supporting it

    I got this less than 3 weeks ago and it worked great at the start. I didn’t mangle the hardware in anyway but, I woke up this morning and it didn’t work. $40 wasted

    Great condition, left on my desk 5/7 days of the week, stopped working in less than a month. Got a new one, cause best buy didn't have any other brand... we shall see how this one holds up.

    Needed connector for my apple SuperDrive . Was recommended by store clerk. However when I got home and connected to my Mac book, it didn't work. Returned and got the apple adaptor which worked great.

    Bought it for my MacBook Pro. It constantly fails and causes my system to boot. Only one USB port on it was functional. Absolute waste of time and money

    Finally got to run it in the field. Did not connect to a NEC 1080 laser Projector. Bought another device that did. Will trash the Insignia.
