First time MAC owner and I had no idea I would need some accessories like this one. This unit comes with an additional USB-C, USB and HDMI to allow a hard wire connection into a monitor or television set. Love this, but if you also need additional accessories they make other units which have these connections and much more.

I added this to new mac for the HDMI port so I could add secong monitor. Simple hook up. Had to reboot so mac would see it. Only glitch so far is I shut down my mac once and when I restarted it the next day it failed to see the external monitor. Rebooted and it was fine ?????

Works great and keeps my laptop charged while using this. I tried using a USB Apple keyboard with this, but the USB ports on the keyboard could not supply enough power for a flash drive. Other than this, it works fine.

You really need a device like this to add flexibility to a Macbook that uses USB-C. Good build quality is important, and a key feature is power delivery: there's a big price difference between hubs that have it and ones that don't. This one keeps the price in check and has the basic ports that most of us need.

Does what it's supposed to without any issue. I love that is has connection for HDMI, USB-C, and standard USB. I've got 3 different devices plugged into it for a full year (and have swapped other devices as well), and everything's worked perfectly the entire time. Very much recommended.

The Insignia (TM) USB-C to 4K HDMI Multiport Adapter works well. I have not used it much as the sales person told me this is what I needed for my MAC. It does not work with the MAC. It works with my Android phone. I believe the confusion lies with USB-C and USB-3.

Excellent home theater projector at a reasonable price. Image is bright and clear. Front or rear projection and multiple interfaces allow for several different configurations with a variety of audio/video sources. Very happy with indoor and outdoor performance.

I’ve had this dongle for about a year now and it’s been great! Held up well with everyday use and is still trucking along like a champ! I run an external display off of it and have had minimal issues. Would recommend to anyone looking for an alternative option to the full price Apple Dongle

This works perfect with my wife's Lenovo Yoga laptop. It passes through enough power to keep the laptop charged. The previous adapter we tried would let the battery slowly drain when the laptop was in use. It also does 1440p@60Hz on her monitor with no issues.

Works perfectly most of the time, just need to make sure the hdmi is pushed in all the way. I cannot tell if it's quality is effected by the device. I use an LG V60 for tons of uses with this. It did work once with my LG V30, but not ever since.

Works as advertised. There is not a USB port on the Apple 13” MacBook Pro. I bought this to use flash drives with saved documents and data from an older Mac. Works great and has a usb-c port and a HDMI 4K port for an additional monitor.

Works perfectly in my MacBook Pro M1. The price is considerably lowest than the Apple original adapter.

It is so convenient to use this plug in. The only backdraw is that if the laptop is out of battery, you have to connect cable directly.

works great though gives off strange whining feedback when plugged into my macbook for too long. Wish design was more streamlined and less blocky and had few more USB ports but good value for price.

It’s been very handy to have. I had been using it for a couple of years to attach my identification card to my laptop to access my VPN. My son kept borrowing it for his laptop when we all began working remotely, so I got him his own.

Great for my son’s Samsung chrome book as that does not have HDMI port to add the monitor. Also the chrome book only have 1 USB C port for charging so this adapter also charges the laptop at the same time. Works very well.

We purchased this adapter to solve a specific problem at my son's college - the campus IT department doesn't allow printers on their Wifi network (not sure why!). My son needed to connect an HP printer directly to his Macbook via a cable, and this did the trick.

This is a Swiss Army knife kind of accessory for my MacBook Pro. Nice to have three of the most common port types in a single adaptor. And while all these kinds of dongles are ridiculously expensive, the price for Insignia is relatively reasonable - especially when getting 3-in-1.

I can run my cell phone or my laptop through my projector with this one adapter . If your files are on the cloud or Carbonite, you can access them on your cell phone and run it on the projector using an Android phone..

Handy for use with my Mac! Haven’t had a chance to use it yet, but for an upcoming presentation, this will be great! The new Macs no longer have these ports, so adapters are the only way to go
