Does not work with Apple Super Drive CD/DVD Device

Worked fine with Flash Drive. Just attempted to connect my Apple Super Drive to play a DVD and got a USB Device needs power message. Some reading on the internet reveals that the Apple Super Drive device works with the Apple version of the adapter, but apparently not with the Insignia device or others. The sales person recommended this as a cheaper substitute for the Apple device. Bad Advice!! It is NOT a substitute for the Apple version! Just ordered the real thing from the Apple Store.
